Begin Your Journey With Confidence

Here we provide the illnesses we specialize in treating, and our step-by-step process.

Holistic Health Consultation

Our health consultations are unlike traditional doctor visits. Each patient experience is designed to discover

the underlying cause of an illness not just focus on the symptoms.

Exploring Your Health

At DVASH Holistic Health, we believe in engaging in conversation to find out more about you, your health, your lifestyle, and your family history to build a more in depth health profile. We want to examine your goals, medical history, prior lab testing, and nutritional habits to create a personalized treatment that will optimize your health.

Determining your baseline

Dr. Spencer will then decide what diagnostic tests will be used to determine the underlying cause of the illness. Our goal is to correct the dysfunction, not alter the labs with medications.

Creating a Lifestyle plan

At DVASH Holistic Health, we believe if you fail to plan you’re planning to fail. Dr. Spencer creates a customized wellness plan that takes a systematic approach that addresses your body as a whole.

Mentoring and Consulting

To ensure you reach your health goals, we set you up for success. We know everyone is busy and we understand that your time is valuable; that’s why we provide communication through our programs via Telemed, phone conversation, and in-person visits. We are your mentors and will be with you during every step of your health journey. We know with the right collaboration and commitment, you can reach your health goals!

Specialized treatment

Is a condition in which your immune system mistakenly attacks your body. The immune system normally guards against germs like bacteria and viruses. When it senses these foreign invaders, it sends out an army of fighter cells to attack them.

The blood cells in the body’s immune system help protect against harmful substances. Examples include bacteria, viruses, toxins, cancer cells, and blood and tissue from outside the body. These substances contain antigens. The immune system produces antibodies against these antigens that enable it to destroy these harmful substances.

When you have an autoimmune disorder, your immune system does not distinguish between healthy tissue and potentially harmful antigens. As a result, the body sets off a reaction that destroys normal tissues.

The exact cause of autoimmune disorders is unknown. One theory is that some microorganisms (such as bacteria or viruses) or drugs may trigger changes that confuse the immune system. This may happen more often in people who have genes that make them more prone to autoimmune disorders.

An autoimmune disorder may result in:

The destruction of body tissue

Abnormal growth of an organ

Changes in organ function

An autoimmune disorder may affect one or more organ or tissue types. Areas often affected by autoimmune disorders include:

Blood vessels

Connective tissues

Endocrine glands such as the thyroid or pancreas

Joints

Muscles

Red blood cells

Skin

A person may have more than one autoimmune disorder at the same time. Common autoimmune disorders include:

Addison disease
Celiac disease – sprue (gluten-sensitive enteropathy)
Dermatomyositis
Graves disease
Hashimoto thyroiditis
Multiple sclerosis
Myasthenia gravis
Pernicious anemia
Reactive arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Sjögren syndrome
Systemic lupus erythematosus
Type I diabetes

Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of diseases that affect how your body uses blood sugar (glucose). Glucose is vital to your health because it’s an important source of energy for the cells that make up your muscles and tissues. It’s also your brain’s main source of fuel.

The underlying cause of diabetes varies by type. But, no matter what type of diabetes you have, it can lead to excess sugar in your blood. Too much sugar in your blood can lead to serious health problems.

Chronic diabetes conditions include type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Potentially reversible diabetes conditions include prediabetes and gestational diabetes. Prediabetes occurs when your blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. And prediabetes is often the precursor of diabetes unless appropriate measures are taken to prevent progression. Gestational diabetes occurs during pregnancy but may resolve after the baby is delivered.

A condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high.
Usually hypertension is defined as blood pressure above 140/90, and is considered severe if the pressure is above 180/120.
High blood pressure often has no symptoms. Over time, if untreated, it can cause health conditions, such as heart disease and stroke.
Eating a healthier diet with less salt, exercising regularly, and taking medications can help lower blood pressure.

is a complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity isn’t just a cosmetic concern. It is a medical problem that increases your risk of other diseases and health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain cancers.

Is a general term for a medical condition that keeps your thyroid from making the right amount of hormones. Your thyroid typically makes hormones that keep your body functioning normally.

Types of Thyroid Disease:

Hyperthyroidism when the thyroid makes too much thyroid hormone, your body uses energy too quickly.

Goiter simply describes enlargement of the thyroid gland, regardless of cause. A goiter is not a specific disease per se. A goiter may be associated with hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, or normal thyroid function.

Nodules are lumps or abnormal masses within the thyroid. Nodules can be caused by benign cysts, benign tumors, or, less commonly, by cancers of the thyroid. Nodules may be single or multiple and can vary in size. If nodules are excessively large, they may cause symptoms related to compression of nearby structures.

Thyroid cancer is far more common among adult women than men or youth. About 2/3 of cases occur in people under age 55. There are different kinds of thyroid cancer, depending upon the specific cell type within the thyroid that has become cancerous. Most cases of thyroid cancer have a good prognosis and high survival rates, especially when diagnosed in its early stages.
